Landon supporting his Opa!!!

The Clarion-Ledger Five-year-old Landon McGee shows his support Tuesday for his grandfather, Ridgeland Mayor Gene McGee, near the First Baptist Church Family Life Center precinct. McGee defeated Cassandra Walter in the GOP primary. Incumbents won big in south Madison County Tuesday, with Ridgeland Mayor Gene McGee winning a sixth term, carrying the city with nearly 75 percent of the vote. Jerry Lousteau trailed Esco, and Tom Alexander was fourth in the race. Esco vowed to keep campaigning. "I'm confident people will see the vision," he said. Truly, a former alderman, said the results "demonstrate that Cantonians are thirsty and hungry for a change." In Ridgeland, McGee faced Cassandra Walter, a lawyer who lost a race for Ward 2 alderman in the city by six votes four years ago. "I'm excited the citizens put their trust in me again," said McGee. "We're not going to slow down. We've got that Master Plan to implement."
